Produmax is a high precision sub-contract engineering company who have been supplying high quality machined components and assemblies for over 50 years to the aerospace, oil and gas, and telecoms industries. The success of Produmax has been as a result of prudent investment in state of the art CNC machinery including six axis milling, 14 axis turning centres and a brand new facility.

We have been working to an IS0 approved quality system since 1988, and are the first organisation globally to be registered to EN 9100 : 2016.

We have superior knowledge of machining materials, including hardened steel, titanium and aircraft grade aluminium alloys.
What makes us stand out is our technical excellence. This combined with competitive pricing and our dedicated workforce who are interested in finding new ways to approach old problems ensures we can tackle products others cannot deliver. For example, we are a significant contributor to the design and development of new products for a local Yorkshire telecoms customer. This partnership allows us to be proactive in reducing the cost of their products, which in turn allows them to be more competitive both in the UK and elsewhere. We also turn around designs for them on a cost effective rapid prototyping basis, which improves their speed to market to increase competitiveness.

Our commitment doesn’t stop there – investment into technology and people continues year on year. We’ve recently moved into a brand new high tech £3.1M facility in Baildon to accommodate our increased workload and hope to expand further. This move safeguarded the 45 existing jobs at that time and gives us the potential to double our workforce, providing local people with full time employment.

We offer a well-paid apprentice scheme for up to three engineering students each year and have designed an extensive work placement programme to help school leavers get hands on experience within an engineering environment, which is proving popular.

We are currently in our third year of the Sharing in Growth Programme and the 2017 winner of their prestigious Ikigai Prize, awarded on our results, business transformation, strong leadership behaviours and progressive culture change.
