Aerospace research themes at Manchester include; Advanced Electrical Power Systems, Manufacture, Alloy / Composite Structures, NDT, Autonomous Systems, Enterprise, Environment, Fluid Dynamics, Security Imaging, Synthetic Environments and Systems Simulation. Our themes join aerospace expertise across the University with many under/postgraduate courses offered in these areas with increasing numbers offered in part-time, distance and CPD modes as well as full-time courses. Additionally, Manchester is home to the National Composites Certification and Evaluation Facility (NCCEF), Henry Moseley X-Ray Imaging Facility (HMXIF), Materials Testing and Analysis Unit, Stress and Damage Characterisation Facility and the Knowledge Exchange in Laser Engineering project.
