Natasha Gagnon, lead commercial officer for the Aerospace Sector at UKTI in Canada will be in Manchester on Friday 17 July and we are organising a roundtable meeting so that Natasha can discuss opportunities for UK companies in the Canadian market and how you might be able to access those opportunities.
Canada provides huge opportunities for aerospace companies. The country is ranked third globally in terms of civil aircraft production. With some 700 companies it generated direct annual revenues of more than $25 billion in 2013 of which 70% was accounted for by manufacture and 30% by MRO activities. Canada is home to Bombardier and a wide range of other OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers and is a global leader in a wide variety of market segments including commercial and business aircraft, helicopters, utility and general aviation aircraft, engines, avionics, aerostructures, simulation, landing gear systems, advanced composite manufacturing, MRO activities, satellites, robotics and space based services. Further information on the market is provided in the attached sector brief.
The meeting will take place at our offices at Churchgate House, Manchester, from 10.00 to 12.00 on Friday 17 July, with the opportunity after that to speak 1-2-1 with Natasha. The format will be:
10.00 Welcome from UKTI and introductions from all participants
10.15 Presentation from Natasha - the Canadian aerospace industry,
opportunities and how to engage with the market.
11.00 Support from UKTI - including events and next steps.
