NWAA Supply Chain Workshop 4

Aerospace Growth Partnership: Key Theme – Manufacturing

Dear Members,

Firstly, Happy New Year, I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and are now getting back to business.

The North West Aerospace Alliance, together with some of its leading member companies, is running a series of events (supply chain workshops) which bring together the leading aerospace companies from across the North West of England and beyond to discuss and develop solutions for the major subject matters for our industry; Supply Chain, Skills, Manufacturing and Technology.

Our fourth supply chain workshop takes place on Wednesday 20thJanuary 2016 at the Best Western Hotel in Leyland and will be focussed on Manufacturing. This event will feature keynote presentations from experts in their fields to stimulate the discussion and debate we will then have with all attendees. Our speakers include;

David Ramsay-Harra, Head of Research and Technology – Wing, AIRBUS UK who will present on AIRBUS Manufacturing Strategy and give our members some insight as to the possible scenarios for the future of UK manufacturing

Adrian Botham, Director, Servispart, who will present on the hot topic of servitisation and how this might protect and grow the manufacturing sector at a time when some manufacturing is increasingly considered to be a commodity.

These topics are absolutely key to the aerospace sector and I want to encourage as many companies as possible to get involved and contribute to the future of our industry.

I hope you will be able to join us on the 20thJanuary.
