NWAA will be hosting its Autumn Member Forum on the 20th October at The Holiday Inn Haydock. David Bailey, CEO will give an update on the industry with particular reference to the future of UK manufacturing.
The forum will focus on 'The Future of UK Manufacturing' with Amer Liaqat, Technology Manager from AIRBUS discussing the ‘Impact of Aircraft Rates on Manufacturing Technology’. Amer’s presentation will give an update on Aircraft Programmes, Future Rate Requirements and the pressure for change and the need to adopt new technologies and processes to help improve wing manufacture.
Frank Hayden who heads up the EIC at The University of Central Lancashire will present on ‘The Future of Manufacturing in the Aerospace Sector’. Frank will discuss his thoughts of UK Productivity & Competitiveness and the changes experienced in the last 20 years and how manufacturing is likely to change in the next 20 years and how the EIC can support the North West Supply Chain.
Graeme Bond, CEO and Technical Director from FDM Digital Solutions will provide an insightful presentation on ‘Additive Manufacturing and What New Manufacturing Processes can bring to the Aerospace Sector’.
Dr Chris Pokora, Technical Manager Aerospace & Defence Europe, TATA Technologies will present on Industry 4.0 – The third industrial revolution, with a particular focus on smart factories, virtual factories, digital factories and the new knowledge and workers that will be required and what this will mean to the Supply Chain.
