Winter Forum:

Titled: Brexit and China – UK Aerospace in a Changing World

The North West Aerospace Alliance’s Winter Forum is going to be unmissable for our members as it focusses on two of the biggest forces on our Aerospace and Defence supply chain; Brexit and China.

We will start with the UK’s leading Aerospace and Defence Sector specialist on Brexit. Jeegar Kakkad is the Chief Economist and Policy Director for the UK Aerospace and Defence Sector (ADS) and is tasked with developing and leading the industry’s strategic position on Brexit. This is a fantastic opportunity for NWAA members to understand what Brexit might mean to their company and how best to prepare for Brexit day – 29th March 2019.

Our second key theme is the implications of the growing aerospace capability in China and what that might mean to the UK aerospace supply chain. Paul Calver is one of the UK’s most experienced trade and investment specialists (working for UKTI and Department of International Trade) leading the UK’s relationships with key aerospace stakeholders in China. Paul will provide an inside view of China’s aerospace strategic direction and in particular how the latest developments in capability might impact the UK aerospace supply chain.

Our third speaker, Tom Dawes the Chief Executive of Valuechain.com will provide us with a view of how new technology can help us to develop the new collaborative ecosystems that will enable us to build and maintain relationships in an increasingly connected world. Tom feels strongly that new technology can provide us with a new opportunity to maintain links with our European partners at a time when many will be questioning the UK’s commitment to collaboration.

Book on today and come and network with our members, share ideas and make new contacts within the industry. Look forward to seeing you there.
