Celebrating the achievements of young people in the North West.
The North West’s Best Aerospace & Defence Apprentice Awards are part of the annual New Talent Awards which are organised by the North West Aerospace Alliance (NWAA).
The aims of the awards are to raise the profile of the aerospace sector and recognise the achievements made by apprentices working in aerospace in the North West Aerospace Industry.
The competition is open to all final year and HNC apprentices working in aerospace or defence in the North West, with a cash prize of £1000 being awarded to the winner and £500 to the runner up. Training providers, colleges and employers in the North West are invited to nominate apprentices who meet the set criteria.
All candidates have taken part in a 45 minute interview with the judging panel at the NWAA office. During this interview the candidates were asked to present a project that demonstrates the development of their engineering skills during their apprenticeship.
A prize will also be awarded to the training provider that takes the best approach to marketing, administration and preparation of candidates for this award. The winners are announced at the New Talent Awards Evening in March 2018.
