Northern Powerhouse has a small booth within the UK Pavilion, as part of the DIT investment activity.
The exhibition is a world leading Composites event, with over 1,300 exhibitors and over 40,000 visitors.
The Northern Powerhouse is attending JEC as part of the UK Government’s initiative to attract high quality overseas investment into the North of England.
The region is home to many of the UK's largest prime users of composites across Aerospace (Airbus Broughton, BAE Systems, SAFRAN, Rolls-Royce), Automotive (McLaren and Bentley Motors) and Advanced Engineering and offers investors a cost competitive location to access both UK technical expertise, specialist raw materials and feedstock chemicals, polymer processing, potential fibre production, 3-d weave technologies and composite lay-up and component assembly.
The stand will showcase research and development leads from the North of England within the composites industry, across new core process technologies and raw materials through to graphene enhancement for increase mechanical strength and conductivity.
The Northern Powerhouse has a small plinth stand and can facilitate meetings within the UK pavilion meeting area. Ahead of the exhibition DIT shall circulate a Northern Powerhouse flyer to DIT posts in Spain/France/Germany/Austria to target potential investors. DIT posts in France, Germany , Spain, Austria and Italy have been actioned to attract in target contacts (from a list of 500+) to the networking event on the stand on Wed 7th March.

Wed 7th March – DIT sponsored networking event on the UK Pavilion late afternoon with NPH speaking slot.
In attendance will by LEP representatives from the Northern Powerhouse. LEP investment partners are welcome to come and discuss potential collaboration.
