Clive Lewis, Managing Partner, Achieving the Difference LLP
NWAA will be hosting its next Supply Chain Workshop on the 25th September at the Hallmark Hotel, Leyland (9am – 14:00).
The theme of the workshop is “International Programmes” and how the North West can position itself to work collaboratively to win future orders and long term contracts. The workshop will focus on some of the key international market opportunities identified by NWAA; the United States, China and Turkey.
NWAA are pleased to announce we have two fantastic keynote speakers with a wealth of experience in aerospace markets;
- Paul Calver – who until recently led the Department for International Trade’s interests in Advanced Engineering and Manufacturing in both India and China. Paul will talk at our workshop about the structure of the Chinese Aerospace Industry and how there are opportunities for UK supply chain in new aircraft programmes such as the CR929. Paul will cover opportunities in the airframe, equipment and engine sectors.
- Clive Lewis – is the UK authority on the global aerospace market, having developed the outlook report for UK government for a number of years. Clive will give us a view of the overall global market outlook but specifically a view of the new Boeing Middle of the Market Aircraft and the Turkish TFX fighter programme. NWAA see both of these programmes as significant opportunities for NWAA Members.
Our workshop will also have two interactive breakout sessions giving everyone a chance to network and input their thoughts as to how we support our industry to grow internationally.
The information that NWAA members will gain from Paul and Clive will be invaluable in supporting the business development strategies of all the companies that attend this workshop.
