NEW !
A leading MRO organisation,based in Switzerland, are urgently looking for a plating company who can carry out various types of gold plating to inserts, arm rests etc for our V V I P aircraft.
To date, the platers they have used have fallen short of the required finish standards.
Would you be able to advise on the possibility of a plating company in the UK who can do high-end specification gold plating.

MACAO
The British Business Association of Macao (BBAM) has opened an office in Macao and can help UK companies do business in this rapidly-expanding market.

Macao's economy has been booming since the Government liberalised the gaming industry in 2002. Gaming revenue in Macao overtook that of Las Vegas over a year ago. GDP growth in Macao was 28% in 2007 and the former Portuguese colony attracted 27 million visitors last year, up 22.7% compared to 2006. The Venetian Macao is now the largest casino in the world. The market is growing rapidly, with approx. $US 20 billion worth of new integrated resorts (gaming; tourism; conventions; retail) due to open in the next 3-4 years. Macao now provides many excellent opportunities for British companies.

BBAM is an officially registered trade association in Macao, established in 2006 to promote and represent British business interests in Macao and the region. BBAM's newly opened office facility boosts its ability to provide assistance to UK companies interested in Macao; give information to businesses in Macao seeking UK opportunities; and in other ways to act as a conduit between government and business in Macao and the UK.

BBAM has an active and growing membership, and focuses on three main activities to provide value to its members:

  1. representing members' interests on industry and government bodies;
  2. specialist committees, such as for HR, Environment & Real Estate; and
  3. creating business, networking and learning opportunities for members and guests by organising various networking and speaker events.

Please visit BBAM's website www.britchammacao.org for further information about how they can assist UK companies. BBAM's office is situated at IPIM (Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute)'s Macao Business Support Centre facility, on the 20th floor of China Civil Plaza, in Macao's Nape district.

Office opening hours: 09.30 am - 12.30 pm (Monday, Wednesday & Friday).

Office manager: Erica Knight (e-mail:erica.knight@britchammacao.org).

UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) covers Macao from the British Consulate in Hong Kong and can advise UK companies on ways to enter the market; as well as find business partners there. In general, the British Consulate will help those companies needing more substantial advice and research, and deliver the normal range of UKTI services; while BBAM can help with on-the-spot advice; the hiring of temporary office space and general enquiries.
