Express Engineering has strengthened its sales team with the addition of three new faces.
Mark Healey joins the aerospace division as Business Development Director, bringing more than 20 years of expertise in similar roles to the North Yorkshire headquartered operation at Stokesley.
Mark, 48, has worked in Aerospace IGT, defence and marine sectors and is developing a strategy to lead a step change campaign for Express, aimed at growing a global Tier 1 customer base covering critical components for landing gear, OEM engine casings, actuation systems and complex CNC engineered products.
He said: “It is great to be joining such a well respected business which is developing a sound reputation within the sector. I hope my experience will accelerate that process and win work which will support further investment and growth.”
On the oil and gas side of the business, based at Team Valley, Gateshead, Greg Polson and Michael McKenna have been brought in.
Gregg, 39 and from Aberdeen, joins as sales manager. He has been 23 years in oil and gas engineering - the last eight in sales. Michael, 36 and from Glasgow brings 19 years industry experience – some of it in aerospace - to the role of sales engineer.
Gregg and Michael plan to increase awareness of Express’ full turnkey services including the supply of industry critical precision machined components and small to large assemblies. Key manufacturing services that Express Engineering offer include, precision machining in specialised metals and alloys, weld cladding, pipe butt welding, inspection, NDE, assembly, pressure testing, project management and supply chain integration.
Greg said: “I know Express has invested significantly in people and equipment in recent years to position itself as a key supplier to the industry and I look forward to the prospect of introducing new customers to its services.”
Michael added: “It is good to be joining such a well-respected business. I feel sure we will be able to impress potential customers with the skills and technical abilities we have at our Tyneside headquarters.”
