Dormer Pramet’s ProLog system will be on display at MACH 2016 – the first time the company’s tool management service will be available for public viewing in the UK.
The ProLog platform automates the process of tool storage and management, and is supported by numerous storage and dispensing options.
The simple ‘Point-of-Use’ technology has been sold around the world and proved particularly popular in Central and Eastern Europe, Germany and China.
To further raise awareness of the system in the UK, the ProLog SmartDrawer will be on stand 5048 in Hall 5 to allow visitors to discover more about its capabilities and benefits.
A standard shop floor cabinet with more than 500 storage locations, the SmartDrawer provides the user with single or boxed insert dispenser to suit different management levels.
It is part of a range of equipment available with ProLog, which offers a number of flexible options for various working environments, including different security access levels.
John O’Donoghue, managing director of Dormer Pramet UK, said: “This is the first time we’ve been able to offer an easy to use product management system of this kind. Customers around the world have found ProLog an invaluable tool to support their day-to-day operations and we are pleased to now extend this service to businesses in the UK.
“By managing stock levels and correctly calculating the volume of individual products, customers can reduce their fixed costs. Also, the system has a positive impact on productivity and information flow.
“Our technical team will be available during MACH to provide demonstrations and answer any questions people may have. MACH is a perfect opportunity to come and have a look at the system and see what it is all about.”
Meanwhile, visitors to the Dormer Pramet stand will be able to view a variety of new and established rotary and indexable cutting tools. Anyone interested in finding out more about the products and services available should visit the company in Hall 5, stand 5048.
In addition, Dormer Pramet is supporting the Learning and Development Zone at MACH 2016, which provides assistance and information to aspiring engineers. Students attending the exhibition will visit the Dormer Pramet stand where they can find out more about the company’s various training initiatives.
