Jonathan Lee Highlights Importance Of Investing In People With Approachi

With 4IR looming, Jonathan Lee Recruitment urges employers to focus on their people.

With heightened focus on 4IR or the ‘fourth industrial revolution’ across much of Europe, businesses need to plan for transformation in the workforce according to the engineering and manufacturing recruitment specialist Jonathan Lee Recruitment.

The EEF’s recent report reveals that 80% of businesses believe that 4IR will be a business reality within the next decade. Combined with the preparations for Brexit and increased automation, the rise of digital technology and the so-called Internet of Things mean that industry in the UK is facing unprecedented change.

Jonathan Lee Recruitment works closely with the Engineering Employers’ Federation (EEF) and is sponsoring the Developing People Category for the EEF Future Manufacturing Awards this year.

With nearly 40 years’ experience in manufacturing Jonathan Lee Recruitment works with manufacturing organisations from food, drink and packaging through to energy, automotive, rail, aerospace and defence to help them build the effective teams that can meet the challenges all sectors are facing.

Jonathan Lee, Chairman of Jonathan Lee Recruitment Ltd comments: “We are delighted to support the EEF Future Manufacturing Awards 2016.  We recognise the importance of investing in staff and developing people; it has been at the heart of our values since the business was established in 1978 and with so many new and exciting opportunities ahead for UK manufacturing, it is more important than ever.

“With the digital transformation in UK manufacturing and the ongoing skills shortage, nurturing and developing skilled individuals will prove a critical factor in the continued growth and success of the sector. EEF is a great, proactive organisation and one that we are proud to partner with in supporting British industry. The awards are well-established and give recognition to those that demonstrate a commitment to the future of UK manufacturing and we are really looking forward to being on the panel for this important and prestigious award.”

Terry Scuoler, CEO of EEF, the manufacturers’ organisation, says: “This award recognises the great strides and achievements being made in our sector to ensure we boost and retain valuable skills and help nurture the ambitions of UK manufacturing’s vital workforce.

“As a specialist in our sector, Jonathan Lee will be a valued addition to our panel of judges and will help make the Future Manufacturing Awards – now in their eighth year – an even better benchmark and accolade for manufacturers across the UK.”
