PI Castings New Managing Director Neil Shaw Ian Taylor Featured

We are very pleased to announce that Neil Shaw has been appointed as the new Managing Director of PI Castings and her sister company Turbotech Precision Products. He brings a wealth of leadership and manufacturing expertise, in order to continue the company’s tradition of supplying high quality, precision investment castings and machined components; thus securing the future for its employees for many years to come.

As the new Managing Director, Neil’s primary aim is to grow and build upon PI Castings’ excellent reputation for delivering high-quality castings, on time, at competitive prices. His manufacturing career has encompassed O.E.M., Tier 1, and Tier 2 supply. His appointment brings a wealth of experience in delivering high-quality precision castings that meet demanding customer needs and specifications.

Ian Taylor, the previous Managing Director of PI Castings is confident that Neil is the right man to take up the position. Although Ian will no longer be the Managing Director of PI Castings and Turbotech Precision Products, he will still retain a place on the board of both companies.

“After 15 years as Managing Director, it is time for me to hand over to someone who can continue to guide the work that PI Castings has been carrying out for over half a century.

Neil Shaw joins the company as Managing Director and brings with him a wealth of experience gained in various industries, in numerous disciplines.

With deep roots in the manufacturing industry, Neil has all of the experience that is necessary to manage and develop PI Castings & Turbotech. Throughout his career, he has gained specialised machining expertise and manufacturing leadership experience from working in and with a number of demanding industry sectors including but not limited to automotive, aerospace and the Oil & Gas markets.

In his new role as Managing Director, Neil places a very high importance on customer service and he is dedicated to continuous improvement and process development. Neil ensures that this ethos is reflected in all of his actions, and believes in making improvements on all levels.

“I am passionate about improving Quality, OTIF delivery and reducing manufacturing cost by the introduction of Lean Continuous Improvement. I am focused on ‘Putting the customer first’ and ensuring the development of a mutually beneficial supply relationship. I believe in developing people and processes, with the focus on working ‘SMARTER’ to eliminate waste from processes.”

Over the coming months, Neil will start to grow the business and will be working to “align the goals of PI Castings and Turbotech Precision Products with those of our customers’”.  He is looking forward to the challenge ahead and is particularly looking forward to “meeting customers both new and current in the near future, in order to build effective relationships with a view to securing new and repeat business.”
