Bowers Group is pleased to announce the recent important changes to the structure of its management team. On 1st October 2019, Martin Hawkins was promoted to UK Sales Director, a step up from his previous role of UK Sales Manager. In addition, Dave Smith has been promoted to UK & Ireland Sales Manager, having previously held the title of Key Account and India Country Manager.

Both Martin and Dave have been integral to the growth of the group during their time in the business, and I am very confident that both are ideally positioned to take their new roles forward with confidence and success.”
Martin Hawkins joined Bowers Group in 2016 in the capacity of UK Sales Manager and has been heavily involved in the development of the UK sales strategy, as well as driving the UK sales team forward during significant times of change and growth. As UK Sales Director, Martin will be responsible for driving the overall UK sales vision, developing key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans, and leading the UK sales team to achieve their targets and objectives.

Dave Smith joined Bowers Group in 2017 as Key Account and India Country Manager. After significant sales success, Dave now steps into Martin’s former role as UK & Ireland Sales Manager, taking responsibility for key accounts, business development opportunities, and the management of the UK Area Sales Manager network.

Bowers Group Welcomes New Additions to UK Sales Team
Bowers Group is delighted to announce several new additions to the UK sales team, further strengthening the team and expanding its reach across the UK. Recent appointments include Chris Baker, who has joined the Bowers Group UK Sales Team in the capacity of West Midlands Area Sales Manager; and Dan Beaulieu, who has taken the position of East Midlands Sales Manager. In addition, former Mobile Metrology Centre Demonstrations Manager Dan French will be moving into a new role as South West Sales Manager.

The team is currently experiencing an exciting phase in the growth of the business, and I’m excited to be able to drive the team forward during this time. It’s fantastic to have a motivated, driven, and enthusiastic team, and I’m sure the future for Bowers will be exceptionally bright.”
Reporting to the newly appointed UK & Ireland Sales Manager Dave Smith, Chris Baker will be responsible for the West Midlands region, managing sales and new business across the current direct and distribution customers. Chris will also be responsible for acquiring new business in the area, in support of Bowers Group’s ambitious growth plans. Chris brings with him many years’ experience within the engineering sector, and his previous experience and skill-set will be both transferable and essential to his new role.
Dan Beaulieu has also joined the Bowers Group sales team in the capacity of East Midlands Sales Manager, and is responsible for the management of sales across the product lines for Bowers Group in the area. Dan will be responsible for maintaining sales and acquiring new business across current direct and distribution customers, further contributing to the growth plans of the group. Dan joins the business from Optimax, the UK Starret agent, and has a number of years’ experience in the engineering sector. Dan’s previous role and his BSc Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering from Oxford Brookes University make him perfectly placed to meet the challenges of this new role.
Finally, after an exceptionally successful year as Mobile Metrology Centre Demonstrations Manager, Dan French will be swapping his extensive UK travel in the MMC for a position closer to home, taking the role of South West Sales Manager from October. Dan will now be responsible for the South West region, managing sales and new business across the current direct and distribution customers.
