Business Excellence (EFQM)

Business Excellence (EFQM Model

Regardless of sector, size, structure or maturity, to be successful, organisations need to establish an appropriate management framework.

The EFQM Excellence Model was introduced at the beginning of 1992 as the framework for assessing organisations for the European Quality Award. It is now the most widely used organisational framework in Europe and it has become the basis for the majority of national and regional Quality Awards. Whilst Quality Awards are a focus for some users, the true measure of the Excellence Model's effectiveness is its widespread use as a management system and the associated growth in the key management discipline of organisational self-assessment.

Most respected businesses are involved in some sort of business improvement activity to help gain business advantage in an ever-competitive market place to increase the profile of the business.

With the significant amount of training business support and consultancy material available to business today, there is no excuse for businesses to perform badly.

The EFQM Excellence Model is just one of a number of tools available to challenge your business operations in your strive for improved Competitiveness. Like any tool however, the more you use it, the more proficient you become.

Benefits of using the EFQM Excellence Model

Over the years a number of research studies have investigated the correlation between the adoption of holistic Models, such as the EFQM Excellence Model, and improved organisational results. The majority of such studies shows a positive linkage.
