The NWAA New Talent Awards recognise and reward the achievements made by young people working and studying in aerospace and defence within the North West.
The Business University Challenge is now a popular stalwart part of the Awards, enabling young people within the industry to compete in a series of challenges with the hope of becoming the winning team of the sought after trophy and £1500 prize money.
This year’s challenge will be on Wednesday 30th January 2019.
If you are either a North West company within the Aerospace and Defence Supply Chain, or a North West University or College with students where at least one member is studying an aerospace related course this Challenge is for you.
Entries are opening soon for teams of three who wish to test their skills against fellow North West companies, universities and colleges. Teams will be allocated a place on a first come first serve basis. As the challenge is part of our New Talent Awards, which recognise the emerging young talent within the industry, each average team age must NOT exceed 22 years of age on the date of the challenge.
There will be up to 12 teams competing on the day.
And the teams will go head to head on a series of mini challenges which will test their:
• Problem solving
• Business Acumen
• Presentation skills
• Team work, Planning and Management
The top 3 teams will be announced on the day of the Challenge and invited to our 2018 NWAA New Talent Awards evening (Thursday 7th March 2019) where the winning team will be announced and presented with their cash prize of £1,500 and winner’s trophy.
During the challenge day, we will also be looking for individual team members displaying professional excellence. These prizes will be awarded on the day of the challenge and will be invited to attend the NWAA New Talent Awards evening and will be presented with a £200 cheque and trophy.
