As part of the ASCE2 programme the NWAA has established a virtual shared service facility. This enables companies in the north west aerospace supply chain to reduce cost and improve competitiveness by aggregating procurement; and providing member companies with access to professional services for non-core activities.
Our mission is to contribute to the competitiveness of a world class aerospace supply chain through the year on year reduction of specific overhead and procurement costs, and to increase capacity and capability through the creation of a shared expert practices/professional services centre.
The project had a number of services available, including utilities, fuel cards, stationery and courier services.
In 2012 participating companies saved over £110k.
On average, customers are saving:
- 30% on courier services*
- 14% on stationery*
- 7% on fuel cards*
