A new law on defence spending has set defence spending at 3% of GDP for 2023\, with plans to raise it to 5%. DESCRIPTION:FREE Member ESG Event #2 at Siemens \nVENUE: Siemens\, Congleton\nDATE: Thursday 29th June\nTIME: 8.30 am to 12.00 noon \nNWAA’s 2nd ESG Event will be held at Siemens Motion Controls\, Varey Road\, Congleton\, CW12 1PH on Thursday 29th June 8.30am to 12.00 noon to discuss how they brought forward and achieved the target of reaching net zero on site and reduced their costs for energy usage. \nSpaces for this event are extremely limited and the tour has had to be split into different sections to accommodate all  delegates that attend the event. \nThe initial spaces on the Siemens site tour sold out and it is for this reason we have now added a further tour the Havannah Weir which has now sold out. \nHavannah Weir Hydro Project started providing renewable electricity direct to the Siemens Congleton site in July 2021. The hydro-electric generation plant was installed at the 250-year-old Havannah Weir on the River Dane to deliver a clean and renewable source of power for the Congleton community.
