Recently, Sky News reported on a landmark tribunal case involving Bahar Khorram, IT executive at a global consultancy. During her probation period, she requested support after being diagnosed with depression and anxiety.

The tribunal found that her employer failed to provide the recommended neurodiversity awareness training, and this failure amounted to discrimination under the Equality Act.

This case underscores a growing challenge for employers.

Official data shows the number of employees with disabilities or long-term health conditions has risen by 21% since the pandemic.

Within that, workers with conditions such as ADHD have increased by 35%.
