Cyber security requirements for businesses working within the UK defence supply chain are changing.
Join NWAA, Seriun and Blackpool and Fylde College for an interactive cyber security session designed for manufacturers, engineering businesses and the wider supply chain, whether you’re already working within defence or looking at opportunities to enter the sector.
Dan Giannasi from the North West Cyber Resilience Centre will set the scene, looking at the current cybercrime threat landscape, what they are seeing across the region and the resources available to help SMEs strengthen their cyber resilience.
Seriun will then bring this into a practical business context, using real-world examples of the cyber risks businesses are facing and looking at the technical steps manufacturers and supply chain businesses can take to better protect their digital and operational environments.
The session will also look ahead to the Defence Investment Plan (DIP) and Defence Cyber Certification (DCC), introducing what these developments could mean for businesses already supplying into defence, as well as manufacturers looking to enter the defence supply chain.
Blackpool and The Fylde College, through its defence-focused offering, will bring in the skills perspective, exploring how businesses can build the cyber and technical capability needed to respond to changing expectations across defence and manufacturing.
There will also be an interactive cyber workshop, giving attendees the opportunity to get involved and put some of the themes discussed during the morning into practice.
The session is aimed at manufacturers, engineering businesses and the wider supply chain, whether you already work within defence or are looking at the opportunities available within the sector.
You’ll leave with a clearer understanding of the cyber threats facing businesses today, practical steps you can take to strengthen your business, and how you can begin preparing for the changing requirements of the UK defence supply chain.
