What is the AMA?
The Additive Manufacturing AcademyTM is a training, development and education focused capability. The AMA is an arm of Additive Manufacturing Solutions Ltd. who are world leading experts in materials, processing, and optimisation in AM. The AMA is therefore built on solid foundations to support the education and skills agenda in AM. We offer in person, specialist, and unique training in AM. Our current offering is shown below:
Training Offering
• Additive Manufacturing for Engineers. This technical overview provides all technical decision makers, metallurgists, designers, and process engineers with the technical insight needed for AM adoption. This course is 1 day and in person. We believe this course provides the foundations for all engineers wanting to start or already involved in AM.
• Design and Building with AM. This 1-day course takes our additive manufacturing for engineers’ course and creates a bespoke variant in collaboration with the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3).
• AM Advance. This groundbreaking 2 day, hands on operational training takes you from ideas with AM through the whole process in our facility to provide an AM solution. You will work hand in hand with our team to develop parts from concept to reality. All PPE provided and parts are produced and available for use at the end of the course.
• AM Materials & Process Excellence. If maximising the capabilities, performance and productivity of powder bed fusion is your goal then this course is for you. We will dive deep into the process of parameter optimisation in our facility using our software and hardware to develop parameter sets. This intense 1 day training is a must for all AM users.
• Bespoke – we also offer bespoke training from safety to powder control. Please contact us with your needs.
