BCW Group Acquires Lupton & Place to Strengthen Manufacturing Offering

BCW Group (Intl) Limited has acquired the business and assets of Lupton & Place Burnley, a specialist aluminium die-casting operation with annual revenues of approximately £12 million and a workforce of around 120 people.

Both companies are based in Burnley, Lancashire, bringing two established local manufacturers together under a single group. Lupton & Place serves customers across a broad range of sectors including lighting, filtration, aerospace, automotive and defence.

BCW Group is a Burnley based engineering solutions provider delivering specialist manufacturing services, spanning design, precision machining, fabrication, surface treatments and assembly to customers across the aerospace, automotive, defence and off-highway sectors.

The acquisition marks a significant step in BCW Group’s strategy to build a more vertically integrated manufacturing group, enhancing in-house capability across the production process and broadening its offer to customers.

Lupton & Place brings over 130 years of experience in gravity and high-pressure aluminium die casting, backed by machining, finishing and value-added services, capabilities that BCW said will strengthen its overall manufacturing platform and support greater efficiency and control across the supply chain.
