Hollygate Aircraft Components achieves SC21 Gold
Hollygate Aircraft Components, part of Hyde Aero Products and the wider Hyde Group, has officially achieved SC21 Gold, the highest level of recognition within the aerospace and defence sector’s leading continuous improvement programme. The achievement places Hollygate amongst a select group of manufacturers recognised for sustained excellence in quality, delivery, capability and business performance. It marks a significant milestone in Hollygate’s continuous improvement journey. Having maintained SC21 Silver for four consecutive years, they have continued to strengthen its performance, processes and improvement culture, achieving the standards required to progress to Gold.
Established in 2006, Hollygate Aircraft Components specialises in the machining of safety critical aerospace components. Operating 15 multi-pallet CNC machines with 3-axis, 4-axis and 5-axis capability, the business manufactures complex prismatic components for demanding aerospace applications, with expertise in both soft and hard metal machining, including titanium.
SC21 Gold is awarded to organisations that demonstrate sustained high performance and a commitment to continuous improvement. For Hollygate, the achievement provides independent recognition of the systems, culture and performance standards developed throughout its SC21 journey and represents a significant benchmark of excellence within the UK aerospace supply chain.
The achievement is also an important milestone for Hyde Aero Products, with Hollygate becoming the second company within the division to achieve SC21 Gold, following Hyde Details earlier this year. Having two SC21 Gold businesses within Hyde Aero Products demonstrates the strength of the division’s commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Hyde Group achieves Defence Cyber Certification
Hyde Group Limited has achieved Defence Cyber Certification (DCC) Level 0, providing assurance that appropriate cyber security measures and controls are in place to support resilience across the UK defence supply chain. Developed by the Ministry of Defence and IASME, the certification demonstrates Hyde Group’s commitment to protecting sensitive information and supporting customers operating within highly regulated environments.
The certification builds upon Hyde Group’s existing Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation and forms part of the Group’s ongoing commitment to information security and cyber resilience.
Driving Continuous Improvement with Fabriq
Hyde Aero Products is continuing the rollout of Fabriq across the division, strengthening how operational performance, communication and Continuous Improvement are managed across its manufacturing businesses. The platform brings KPIs, actions, issues and improvement activity into a single environment, helping teams turn performance information into clearly managed actions.
The rollout supports Hyde Aero Products’ wider journey through SC21 and Aero Excellence, with a focus on making objectives and performance measures visible throughout the organisation. Fabriq also supports daily management through the division’s SQCDPS framework, covering Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People alongside Sustainability, while allowing individual businesses to configure measures around their own operations.
As adoption has increased, Fabriq has helped create greater visibility, accountability and employee involvement in Continuous Improvement. The ongoing rollout is supporting a more consistent approach across Hyde Aero Products, while giving individual businesses the flexibility to focus on the performance measures and improvement activities that matter most to their operations.
