Burnley College is launching its pioneering new online learning which will give everyone access to real qualifications in highly desirable skills – and with full funding available, learners won’t have to pay anything.

This brand-new blended, flexible approach to learning allows people to shape their own education to fit around their lives.

Learners won’t even have to attend the College if they choose not to – however, in-person support is available on their £110 million campus for everyone who wants it.

It will see learners earning recognised qualifications in a variety of subjects from Customer Service to Mental Health Awareness.

It’s ideal for everyone who has the passion to push for promotion, wants to branch out into a brand-new career or simply learn for the love of it.

With specialist courses about mental health, particularly regarding young people, it will also be ideal for those who want to enrich their knowledge for personal or family reasons.

Flexibility is key to this new offer, as it allows learners to work at their own pace and in their own space, making education available to everyone, whatever their personal situation.

• Understanding Environmental Sustainability
• Understanding Children and Young People’s Mental Health
• The Principles of Customer Service
• Principles of Team Leading

Principal of Burnley College Karen Buchanan says offering online learning is something they’ve wanted to do for some time:

“I’m so excited to finally be able to offer this to the people of East Lancashire and to welcome our new online members of the Burnley College Family.

“We already have a huge range of Adult Learning and degree level courses which are part time and offer evening classes.

“But we understand some people really want to get back into education or boost their skills and don’t have the flexibility to take on that timetable.

“So now we can offer you all the support and skill of our Tutors here at Burnley College in your own home.
